We began harvesting apples on Sunday. At this point, we are picking primarily Paula Reds, our earliest variety. When you bite into a Paula Red, the beautiful red-pink skin stains the bright white flesh of the apple. Paula Reds are perfect for eating fresh or cooking. We'll be making sauce this weekend.
